Members Highlights: Alvin Rodriguez

Alvin RodriguezMeet Alvin Rodriguez

I presently serve as the Director of Engineering at IV4, Inc. with sole responsibility for oversight of all Technical Services. In this role, I’m responsible for ensuring uptime of our clients whose systems IV4 monitors and manages remotely. As part of the seven member Executive Leadership Team, I’m also involved in the strategic planning and execution of the company’s growth initiatives. My responsibilities include design and implementation of client system architecture and infrastructure, managing and directing Engineering staff, the Operations Manager and the company’s Service Desk operations as well as project management and coordination.

Prior to my role at IV4, Inc. I served as the Global IT Operations Manager at Ciber, Inc. I led and managed a team of 60 engineers for Wintel, Messaging, Citrix, VMware, Enterprise Management Systems and Network Operations.

I have an active lifestyle outside of work, and enjoy running, biking, basketball and gardening. I’m a member at Temple Zion, a local Rochester church where I volunteer my time running an athletic ministry known as TZAM.
My wife Amarilys is a teacher at Webster Thomas, and we have a 10 month baby girl, Gabriela. We are expecting our second child next year.

I also started volunteering at Ibero because I care about the causes they support.

Social Media: Ready, Set, Go! Conference on June 14

This conference is intended to be a hands-on event, where participants will learn practical skills that they can begin using immediately, with a great series of workshops and presenters planned for the day. I personally know most of the conference presenters and I can tell you they are top local social media consultants.

Whether you are a job seeker, employee, manager, business owner, or in a non-profit organization, you will no doubt benefit from the conference program.

I have the honor to be part of the panel discussion, along with Cynthia Benjamin from the D&C, that will take place during the plenary session at noon. I don’t get paid for my participation in the conference, but the organizers have setup a special discount for my network, which I am happy to share with RHBA members and subscribers here, if you decide to attend.

Special discount for my network:  $120 (reg. $160.00)
If you are an RPCN members, the discounted registration is  $95.

These are the steps to receive the special discount:

  • Go to the registration page.
  • Fill out registration form (select your preferred workshops)
  • In the “Comment” section write:  Special Discount – Kelly
  • Click submit (but don’t pay online)
  • An invoice will be sent by email

Note: If by any chance you can’t register online and decide to do it the day of the event, make sure to mention that you are in my network (Kelly T. Mullaney, panelist during the plenary session) and that you would like to use the special discount.

The Social Media: Ready, Set, Go! conference is organized by the Rochester Professional Consultants Network, a local organization that I frequently recommend to consultants and small business owners.
