On July 23rd, 2007 Eduardo Navarro, president of the Rochester Hispanic Business Association presented a $1,000 check to the Hispanic Scholarship Endowment Fund during Ibero-American Action League Annual Scholarship Gala. The RHBA donation will sponsor 2 local Hispanic students. Accepting is Hilda Rosario Escher, Ibero’s CEO; in the background, Grace Tillinghast, chair of the Scholarship Committee, and also a member of RHBA.
The Fund, established a couple of decades ago, provides scholarships to area Hispanic students who pursue a college education. Eight outstanding students received scholarships in 2007.
