Mauricio Riveros serves as Vice President of Project Controls at The Pike Company, one of the most reputable and oldest family owned construction companies in north east region. His responsibilities include ensuring the implementation of Pike’s process, procedures and systems to maximize company performance and implementation of core beliefs and strategic planning process.
Mauricio plays an important role in the implementation of important concepts of management like Result Base Management (RBM) and the implementation of the risk management index (RMI) that has created significant improvement in the results within the company overall performance . On any job, in any capacity, Mauricio is relentless in achieving only the best results. Mauricio is in charge of “The Pike University” program that is a constant internal formal training program for Pike’s personal.
Mauricio also developed and continues to implement the Company’s “Steps to Success Program.” This program was created to provide hands on training to WMBE companies in alliance with public and private entities.
Mauricio serves on the Board of trustees of the Upstate NY Minority supplier Development Council, and as Chairman for the Construction Industry Group. He has recently become a member of the Board of Trustees for the Allendale Columbia School.
Mauricio has received awards and recognitions for his contributions to several organizations that he has supported. He was Named “Huesped Ilustre” by the Municipal Government of Rurrenabaque (2001), Reyes (2001) and San Borja (2002), Bolivia. Was also named “Padrino” by the Latinas Unidas Organization (2009) and has received the Upstate New York Minority Supplier Development Council annual Award (2010).
Mauricio has printed publications and multiple essays on municipal decentralization, municipal associations and districting. The latest publication was “Elementos de una visión Estratégica sobre el futuro de las Mancomunidades de Municipios” (Elements of a Strategic Vision about the Future of Municipal Associations).
Mauricio obtained his formal education in Bolivia and holds a Master of Economic Law from La Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar and a Law Degree from La Universidad Catolica Boliviana. In Bolivia, Mauricio served in the government as the National Director of Strategic Planning under the deputy Minister of Popular Participation and after he was the National Director for Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO), that was working with the Bolivian Government helping in the implementation of a public sector reform program across the country. Mauricio resides in Perinton, New York with his wife, Bess, and children, Thomas, Oliver and Wesson.
