RHBA member Annette Jimenez, a reporter from El Mensajero, recently visited Discovery Charter School in Irondequoit to talk the the students about being a journalist.
Annette shared with the third grade students that she was inspired by one of her elementary school teachers to become a journalist. As a child, she loved writing and found encouragement to continue improving her skills. When she was older, she ‘knew’ that she would become a professional writer.
Annette also discussed with the students the finer points of good writing and helped them develop some of their stories.
