Carlos Pérez began his career as an Industrial Hygienist/Compliance Officer for the US Department of Labor (OSHA). He moved into industry at Eastman Kodak Company where he held a number of key positions in various Rochester manufacturing sites and operations in Latin America, the United States and Asia.
Carlos has over 15 years of experience implementing Lean/Six Sigma improvement programs in the US and Latin America. He is a Management Black Belt, Workout® Facilitator, and has participated in numerous Kaizen events as the lead facilitator. He holds a Lean Office Certification from the University of Michigan.
His work developing and leading strategies has given him the knowledge of how a practical approach can achieve business goals. Using the Emergent Strategy concept, Carlos has executed successful operating strategies for both single sites and multiple operations across a geographic region.
Carlos holds an Executive MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology, an MS in Environmental Toxicology from the University of Rochester School of Medicine, and a BS in Natural Science from the University of Puerto Rico.
He is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Portuguese.
Carlos is a member of the RHBA Events Committee.
