Congratulations to Hilda Rosario Escher, Tabita Torres and Jere Fletcher for their awards at the Latinas Unidas 23rd Annual Reconocimiento Awards and Scholarships Luncheon on Nov. 1.
Rosario Escher was honored in the category of Career Achievement. Torres received the award for Volunteer Service. Fletcher was honored with an Amigo Award.
Other winners were: Kari-Elyssa Cepero, Young Latina Leader; Librada Paz, Inspirational Leadership; Jose and Karen Coronas, Amigo and Amiga Award. Eleven local Latinas received scholarship money totaling more than $11,000 to further their education.
