Let us share some information with you about La Cumbre. We are a local collective that unites Latino voices in the Rochester region to advocate positive change in our community. We started meeting three years ago engaging a rich cross-section of community members and organizations, and we are thrilled to report that our membership has grown to over 200 people.
We believe everyone can contribute to the positive welfare of our community, and we know participation is critical to achieving results. That is why we are so excited to invite you to our Spring Renewal Event. This is an opportunity to learn about the accomplishments of our collective, engage in a workshop to outline goals and future initiatives, and organize our priorities into a succinct actionable strategy that focus on our identified areas of interest: Education, Arts & Culture, Economic Development, and Government.
Together we will work to set priorities and find consensus on a core set of issues and solutions that we can all stand behind. Once we develop a plan we will identify community ambassadors who will ensure our message is presented to others including our government, private, and non-profit partners. We are passionate about our community, and we know you are too, let us come together to create lasting solutions.
