ESL is a full service financial institution with headquarters in Rochester, NY. Presently employs 700 hundred in the area and about 330,000 worldwide.
It was launched by Kodak’s founder George Eastman in 1920 who wanted his employees to learn about financial matters and be able to save and own a home. Through the years, Kodak employees did their banking at ESL which had branches in all Kodak locations in the area.
In February 1996, ESL changed its charter and became ESL Federal Credit Union. The institution turns one hundred in a couple of years.
