The United Way of Greater Rochester is pleased to announce that they are now accepting applications for the 2019 Latino Leadership Development Program (LLDP). The primary focus of LLDP is the development and application of effective leadership skills and competencies in one’s professional and volunteer pursuits.
It’s an exciting time to get involved with United Way and to serve the greater Rochester community. The connections, experience and relationships built throughout LLDP are invaluable to individuals, organizations and our entire community as we all come together to help Rochester thrive. We strongly encourage you to recommend candidates from your organization to participate in this unique leadership development opportunity.
As a sponsoring organization, you will receive the incalculable benefits of:
- An investment in human capital that will deliver an employee with increased leadership skills and the ability to implement those leadership skills.
- A developed leader who drives business results with increased knowledge and networks within the Greater Rochester community.
- Placement opportunities for graduates within community leadership positions (e.g. boards, committees or commissions).
- Demonstrated awareness and commitment to civic and philanthropic responsibilities.
The ideal candidate for the program would be an employee who has demonstrated a willingness to accept increasing leadership responsibilities within your organization and has sought out opportunities for continued development. Each candidate will be required to submit an application and resume, as well as participate in an interview before consideration or acceptance into the LLDP program. The 2019 LLDP program participation fee is $399.
LLDP is a seven day program that begins August 6- August 8 and August 13- August 15 from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. each day. A follow-up session will be held on October 25 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
