Meet one of the new members of the RHBA board for the 2022-24 term: Elena Nescio.
Elena Nescio is a creative, collaborative, strategic leader and educator. She is passionate about giving back to the Rochester community and empowering local businesses. Elena works full-time as a clinical faculty member at the University of Rochester in the Simon School of Business, teaching both marketing and managerial communication courses to undergraduate and graduate students.
Elena has worked in marketing for more than 19 years with blue-chip brands, including Electronic Arts, the USA TODAY Network, Amazon, AWS, Salesforce, Facebook, Crowdstrike, Johnson & Johnson, Coca-Cola, and KitchenAid, and she continues to consult in the private sector under the name Avocado-Peppers Consulting, LLC.
Elena earned an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and an MA in Communication Studies, with a focus on Organizational Leadership, from the University of Alabama. She also holds a BA in English and a BS in Journalism from Kent State University. In 2018 Elena completed the United Way’s LLDP and was elected class chair. She continues to support the United Way of Greater Rochester, among other local organizations. Elena grew up in the City of Rochester.
