Poder 97.1 Director of Marketing & Sponsorships to Receive 31st Annual RHBA Award
ROCHESTER, NY (July 24, 2022) The Rochester Hispanic Business Association (RHBA), named Victor Antonetti, Jr. as its 2022 Hispanic Businessperson of the Year. With over 25 years of experience in marketing and sales, Antonetti currently serves as Director of Marketing and Sponsorships for Poder 97.1, Rochester’s first 24-hour Latinx radio station and an affiliate of the Ibero-American Action League.
Rochester Hispanic Business Association Chairperson Lisa Martinez DeVinney said, “Victor has enhanced the Greater Rochester Hispanic community with many significant economic contributions and also serves as a positive role model, thus embodying the ideals of this award.”
An influential musician, musical director, and producer, Antonetti has worked with Grammy Award-winning artists of every genre, has 5 original recordings, and a music career that spans 45 years. His vision to create a venue where the community can come together to celebrate successes is why he opened The Avalon Roc event venue, which has since become home to corporate events, community fundraisers, and private parties, sometimes at no cost.
Antonetti said, “I am honored to be named Hispanic Businessperson of the Year. It is a pleasure to be of service to our community.”
The Rochester Hispanic Business Association honors Antonetti as the 31st annual Hispanic Businessperson of the Year at a gala luncheon on September 20 at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center. The Keynote speaker will be Orlando Ortiz, President of the Puerto Rican Festival.
