Jacklyn Ortiz, a native of Rochester, is a graduate of Wilson Magnet High School and holds a BS in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University. Prior to becoming owner of an insurance agency, she was assistant marketing manager for S.C. Johnson in Racine, Wisconsin, and marketing manager for Birds Eye Foods in Rochester.
Ms. Ortiz is an Insurance and Financial services agent for State Farm and assists her clients with property and casualty needs, life insurance as well as retirement planning. She ensures her clients understand the value, need and ease of thoughtful preparation and has grown her client base each year, adding team members to expressly assist with the needs of the Latino community.
Jackie is very active in the Rochester Hispanic community. She currently serves the community providing seminars for first time homebuyers regarding home owners insurance and retirement planning through local organizations such as Rural Opportunities Inc. She has been honored with Executive Board positions within the IBERO American Action League and Borinquen Dance Theatre (BDT) and is the Committee Chair for the 2009 Puerto Rican Parade.
Establishing a solid foundation for our youth is extremely important and Jackie participates in the Rochester Works Digital Afternoon Program, providing summer employment to a high school student each year, assists the Hispanic Youth Leadership Development Program for the Red Cross as a presenter and supporter of their Mentor recruiting initiatives and since 2008 has presented a scholarship to a deserving Latino student at the Hispanic Scholarship Endowment Fund Awards Annual Gala organized by the Ibero-American Action League.
