What are you currently most excited about when it comes to your organization?
First American’s most valuable asset is our people, and we know that a strong company culture is crucial as we work toward our vision: to be the best company to work for, and the best company to work with. We are a team of action takers, and our colleagues have proudly organized teams to support culture, DEI, corporate citizenship, and sustainability. Together, these groups lead several initiatives each year; examples from 2023 include establishing a new employee resource group for Women in Business, hosting a “Captain Your Cause Day” to volunteer with organizations that colleagues feel passionate about, and implementing coffee composting in the office to divert waste from landfills. It is exciting to see how our team will continue to improve client and colleague experiences in the year ahead.
Why did you become a member of the RHBA and why should someone consider joining?
First American is committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels respected, included, and heard—where colleagues can show up as their authentic selves every single day. We know that each person’s voice, values, and lived experiences contribute to our company’s narrative and its potential for growth. By joining the RHBA, we have an important opportunity to increase our visibility with Hispanic professionals, both within our organization and within our community. Our membership also provides a forum for networking and opportunities to celebrate Hispanic heritage.
