Meet one of our members:
Jennifer Hungate
President & CEO, Hungate Construction
“At Hungate Construction, we provide a full range of commercial and residential construction services, from new builds and renovations to project management and design support. Our goal is to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions that meet the unique needs of every client.
For small businesses in particular, we offer tailored construction and remodeling services that help them create functional, attractive, and efficient spaces to grow their operations. Whether it’s building out a new office, renovating a storefront, or customizing a facility to match business goals, we work closely with owners to bring their vision to life.
Beyond construction, we also see ourselves as a partner—helping small businesses navigate budgets, timelines, and permitting so they can focus on what they do best. By combining craftsmanship with collaboration, we aim to give small businesses the solid foundation they need to succeed.”
What are you currently most excited about when it comes to your organization?
I am most excited about creating opportunities for individuals in underrepresented communities. In particular, I’m passionate about uplifting women and showing them that they can thrive in a traditionally male-dominated fields like construction. My goal is not only to employ them, but also to educate, empower, and equip them with the skills and confidence they need to succeed. By breaking down barriers and opening doors (even if we have to install them), I hope to inspire a new generation of builders who bring fresh perspectives and strength to the industry.
Why did you become a member of the RHBA and why should someone consider joining?
I became a member of the RHBA because I believe deeply in the power of community and collaboration. Being part of an organization that supports and uplifts Hispanic-owned businesses gives me the chance to connect with like-minded professionals, share resources, and learn from others who are passionate about growth and innovation. The RHBA provides not just networking, but also mentorship, advocacy, and opportunities to make a real impact in the construction industry and the Latino community. Someone should consider joining because the RHBA is more than just a membership—it’s a platform for visibility, support, and empowerment. It opens doors to partnerships, professional development, and a strong community that celebrates diversity while pushing for progress. If you’re looking to grow your business, expand your network, or simply be part of a group that values connection and collective success, RHBA is a place where you’ll find those opportunities.
